Hi, I'm Mithunish.
I'm an AI product engineer in Chennai. I build AI products end to end: the agent, the platform under it, and the UI on top. Then I ship them to production.
I've been building software since 2016. It started with an ERP rollout in Pune, then startups at the IIT Madras Research Park, a hotel chatbot on event-driven microservices, frontend rewrites for a German manufacturer, and leading a team of eight on healthcare products for clients in the US.
Since January 2025 I've been a Senior Software Engineer at Qualkode Technologies, building production AI for Blush, a VIP matchmaking company: the agents that talk to its clients and the CRM behind them, the agent layer of an iMessage API, and Toldo, an AI-assistant builder I lead.
Alongside work I'm doing an M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence at SRM, and I build my research the way I build products. Sanket recognises Indian Sign Language offline in the browser, and Ooru gives every 12.5 m square of Chennai a three-word address.
I work AI-native: I run coding agents in parallel behind hard checks (typecheck, tests, a real browser), which lets one engineer ship at the pace of a small team without lowering the bar.

Measure before and after
A fix without a number is a guess. I take the query plan, the latency or the error rate first, and I show you the same number afterwards.
Design for the failure cases
Models invent dates, webhooks arrive twice, the busiest day is the slowest. The work that matters is making those cases boring.
Small steps you can see
A live preview URL from the first week and a demo every week, so there are no surprises at the end.
Write things down
Decisions, trade-offs and handover docs, written so the next engineer, or you, can carry on without me.
